Guess where I just came back from. I went to PASO ROBLES!!! Cruisin' up the freeway for 5 hours from LA, horrible jetlag, hot, sun shining, felt pretty miserable, but the show was Grrrreat.
Being very frank, the Kustom Style was much better than the actual Rods themselves. I was hoping to see some Rods like mine, but didn't. There were really cool lookin' Rods though, such as Tom's '32 Ford Roadster, and Johnny's (Deacons) Roadster Pickup, etc.

What shocked me the most was how the Kustom level (if there was such a way to classify "levels") over here was much higher than back home; Especially the gold and black Lincoln Zephyer. Check out these front skirts, and the owner tells me he drives with these on! That wasn't the only Rod that I liked, there were lots more Rods with parts I've never seen before. On the 2nd day at night, the Shifters held a party at a nearby bowling alley. We went down around dusk, and the parking lot was already packed with cars making it almost like a mini car show.
Swimming through the crowds, I finally get inside, and was greeted by Kevin, a Shifter, and hastily was taken over to this drunken guy. Kevin told me that he's the original Kid Rocker from England, and took a photo with him. "I'm the REAL Kid Rocker," I thought.
This year's Paso was my first and I definitely want to come back again next year. Well, I guess I'll see you in Paso Robles next year! (by Kid Rocker)
